Specimen Requirements and Processing
No testing needed if ABO/Rh is on file.
Special Note: Patient must have armband to infuse. Monitor vital signs. Cryoprecipitate is pooled with saline. Cryo pooled with saline must not be used for glue. If product is to be used for a glue, Transfusions Services must be notified when product is requested.
Storage and Stability
Store at room temperature after thawing
Cryo must be administered within 6 hours of thawing and 4 hours of pooling.
