Specimen Requirements and Processing
No testing needed if ABO/Rh is on file.
Special Note: Must be ABO compatible with the recipients red cells. Patient must have armband to infuse. Monitor vital signs.
Storage and Stability
Thawed plasma is stored at 1-6o C in blood refrigerator. Expires 5 days after thawing.
