Specimen Rejection

  • Improperly labeled, collected, stored and transported
  • Swabs collected not using BD Max Collection Kit
  • Swabs collected with lubricant (Instrument will give an error code)

Storage and Stability

After collection swab is placed in the buffer tube (green lid), it is stable for 14 days at 2-8o C and 8 days at 2-30o C
