Specimen Requirements
Nasal swab or Slides
2 slides prepared from a nasal swab or the swab can be sent to the lab for slide application
Specimen Rejection
Slides will be rejected if:
- There is no specimen on the slide
- Quantity not sufficient
- Improper labeling
- Slides received in fixative
Storage and Stability
